Kilmainham Gaol is one of Europe’s largest unused gaols, and it houses the remains of some of Ireland’s most heroic and terrible events from the 1790s to the 1920s. A huge exhibition covering the prison’s political and criminal history, as well as its renovation, is one of the attractions. A PowerPoint presentation is included in the jail tour.
