The charity’s mission is to preserve, manage, research, conserve, and display the archaeological and historical heritage of the Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey in the shape of ancient monuments, listed buildings, natural aspect features, and bird, animal, tree, and plant life for the benefit of the general public and the nation at large.

It’s a massive mission, carried out by a small team of committed volunteers with the help of a big number of dedicated volunteers.
