For the first time in 3 years (since 2019), the UK’s Biggest Festival is back and fans are elated!! Dating all the way back to 1970, Glastonbury has been a staple of UK culture, attracting top artists, and reflecting the music of the times. Now it’s finally back and with an EPIC lineup, it’s worth the wait!

Glastonbury 2022 will be taking place from the 22nd to 26th of June at Worthy Farm, Pilton, in the lovely county of Somerset, and will be featuring lots of big artists.

Who’s Performing?

This year’s festival is not one to miss, and will be featuring many greats including singing sensation Billie Eilish, rap legend Kendrick Lamar, and all-time Icons Paul McCarthy & Diana Ross!

The Areas

Glastonbury is like a bunch of different festivals gathered together in the same gorgeous countryside for the weekend. Each area of the festival has its own character, theme, and special attractions.

Glastonbury 2022’s main areas will be Shangri-La, Left Field, Arcadia, Theatre & Circus, Glasto Latino, Silver Hayes, and Field of Avalon.

In fact, as of yesterday (May 4th), festival organisers have released the official Glastonbury 2022 Map, which gives ticketholders a sneak peek at what has changed on the festival grounds since the last event in 2019.

BBC Introducing Stage’s New Location

The BBC Introducing Stage aims to support fresh music talent from all around the country. Ed Sheeran has previously played on this little stage before going on to headline the larger Pyramid Stage a few years later, so it’s a great location to find new talent.

The BBC Introducing Stage is located in the festival’s northwest corner. It was situated within the main Sliver Hayes field in 2019.

However, the stage looks to be shifting to the right on the 2022 map. It will now be located between The Other Stage and the Pyramid Stage on the main route.

Arcadia’s Mechanical Spider is Back!

As confirmed last week by the festival, Glasto’s infamous giant spider returns to the late-night Arcadia area with one of its biggest-ever lineups featuring Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, and more!

The famous attraction that sprays fire and fires laser beams was not featured at the most recent event in 2019, since it was replaced with a new attraction.
