Free to loan / included in admission | Available at Box Office
They have introduced a range of carefully developed playful activities for you and your little ones to get involved in while you are visiting them.
Available every day at reception is an early years friendly trail activity, which includes playing with shapes, finding vehicles, spotting numbers and letters, all while you explore the museum.
You can also pick up one of their popular Mini Museum Engineers Play Boxes. Their Play Boxes come as ride-on suitcases, perfect for when your little ones legs get tired and they need a rest, when you want to keep moving. Each play box has a selection of playthings inside, along with play prompts for you to take with you as you explore the museum. Explore the contents of the box as you relax in a calm corner or pull up near your little one’s favourite vehicle. The content of the boxes will vary and are updated regularly.
All of their Mini Museum Engineers activities are free to loan from the Box Office. Just ask for one activity to use throughout your visit and then return for other families to enjoy. Please be aware, that these activities are very popular, and availability is subject to a first come, first served basis. You might spot some play boxes or trails at Box Office that are not in use but are unable to be handed out at your time of requesting them. This means that they are on a sanitising break where their museum team carefully pampers and cleans them, so the boxes are ready to be used and played with again in a COVID-19 safe way.
