The ultimate goal of the Soldiers of Shropshire Museum is to preserve the memories and tales of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of others’ freedom during World War I. The Museum are working to honour this heritage via personal exhibits, monthly lectures, and public research projects. An important purpose for this rebranding was to guarantee that the museum stays current to their audience, as well as to ensure that they remain representative of all of their county’s troops and their stories in the future. The Museum houses the combined collections of the main military units connected with the county from the 18th century to the present day. It also contains a magnificent collection of uniforms, regimental silverware, medals, weaponry, military equipment, and personal artefacts that reflect the narrative of the soldiers who served in the regiments.
