A forest garden, formal garden, as well as a two-acre walled kitchen garden are among the grounds’ many features, including the Head Gardener’s world-record-breaking gooseberries! It also provides a diverse selection of flowers, vegetables, and fruit for the monthly farmers’ markets. In February, over 50 species of Snowdrops carpet a mile-long relaxing walk along Rode Pool, earning them a reputation for their Snowdrop Walks. The blooming of various species and hybrid rhododendrons and azaleas adds to the colour. Tearooms provide delicious cooked light meals and cream teas. Rode Hall food and seasonal gifts are sold in the gift store.
