The Blue John Cavern is rich in history, with antique mining equipment on display within. At regular intervals, guided tours are offered throughout the cave system. Each trip lasts 45 minutes to an hour, during which time you will visit a series of spectacular natural water-worn caves. Blue John, as well as stalactites, stalagmites, and massive caves, may be observed in their natural condition. See the multi-colored dome of the Waterfall Cavern… Visit Lord Mulgrave’s Dining Room, where his Lordship entertained miners and where magnificent Blue John veins in the limestone may be viewed in their natural condition… Stand 150 feet tall and 30 feet broad in the Variegated Cavern!
