It is widely recognised that THG is a prominent public art gallery that features current works of art and handicrafts. Located in the heart of a lovely Georgian townhouse in Honiton, the gallery exhibits the works of Victor Pasmore, William Coldstream, and Claude Rogers, all students at the well-known Euston Road School of Artists. Mostly recognised for her still lifes, interiors, and landscapes, many of which include the Cornish coast, Thelma Hulbert, who lived and painted at the gallery, worked in different mediums throughout her career. She had participated in twenty-three exhibitions, eight of which were solo shows. One of her most notable attempts was this one-woman show. Her art is currently exhibited in a number of public and private collections worldwide. The new Creative Cabin serves as a focal point for a wide range of activities and projects, strengthening audience environmental and climate relationships. Furthermore, the store has its own shop that sells custom products manufactured in the region, such as clay, jewellery, textiles, prints, and greeting cards, as well as a variety of teas, coffees, and biscuits. A wonderful, comfortable garden with plenty of seating, excellent for a picnic, invites you to merge into Thelma’s vision.

Bristol - South-West England
Set in a striking 18th-century windmill, Clifton Observatory features a viewing platform, a rare camera obscura and the cliff-side Giant's Cave. Together they offer incredible views of the suspension bridge, the plunging Avon Gorge and Bristol itself.Bristol's camera obscura is one of only two in England open to the public, making a visit well worthwhile. The camera uses a convex lens and sloping mirror to project an image of the outside world on to a white surface inside a dark room. As with all cameras obscura, the images are best on bright days.
